'Tubelight' Trailer: Salman Khan amazes with his childlike avatar, funny antics

Salman Khan is back again with new film, ‘Tubelight’ directed by Kabir Khan. Trapped in a war like situation, Salman’s magical power heals the pain of the people.

The 2:23-minute trailer opens with the introduction of Salman Khan’s character, Laxman Singh Bisht, who is nicknamed ‘Tubelight’ because he understands everything slowly compared than others. ‘Tubelight’ is a popular term used in many parts of India to refer people who understand things slowly, things get into their mind bit late.

Salman Khan’s real brother Sohail Khan plays his reel-life brother and his best friend, Bharat, who joins the Indian Army only to realize the hardships that a soldier goes through.

The trailer shows many funny instances of Laxman aka Salman Khan. He is seen competing with the jawans but fails everytime.  Then the trailer takes a sudden twist when Bharat goes missing. All lost their hopes and everybody believed that Bharat won’t return but Salman Khan truly believes that Bharat would return one day and here goes the film’s punchline ‘Kya tumhe yakeen hai’ (Do you believe?)

This is Salman’s third collaboration with Kabir Khan after ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. The makers have roped in Chinese actor Zhu Zhu to attract international audience.

Expectation from ‘Tubelight’ is sky-high. After ‘Dangal’ and ‘Baahubali 2’, Salman Khan’s ‘Tubelight’ is considered to be the next big thing at the box-office. It is also speculated that ‘Tubelight’ might break the box-office record of the two blockbuster movies.

‘Tubelight’ is set against the backdrop Sino-Indian War of 1962. The film is slated to release on Eid 2017.
