Vivek Oberoi praises ‘rival’ Salman Khan’s film ‘Sultan’

It is well known that Bollywood actors Vivek Oberoi and Salman Khan do not share a good equation. Their animosity started when the ‘Saathiya’ actor started dating Aishawarya Rai, who was once in a relationship with Salman.

Vivek made the situation worse when he called a press conference in 2003, claiming that a drunk Salman had called him 41 times and abused and threatened him with life over his relationship with Aishwarya. He later apologised to the ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ actor, but the latter did not acknowledge the gesture and ignored him. Ever since, both the actors have been avoiding each other.

In spite of their differences, Vivek has praised Salman’s upcoming film ‘Sultan’ calling it “fabulous”. Talking to reporters at the screening of Nagesh Kukunoor's film ‘Dhanak’, Vivek said about ‘Sultan’, “"I think it is looking fabulous. I think it is a great thing to see all these big stars experimenting with roles, doing different kind of roles or biopics. 'Sultan' is looking great."

In another incident, during the trailer launch of Vivek’s upcoming film ‘Great Grand Masti’, the actor was asked about the incident when Salman had dropped by on the sets of Indra Kumar’s film and met the casts. The ‘Sultan’ actor had met Riteish Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani and others, but Vivek chose to stay back in his vanity van.

A visibly uncomfortable Vivek attempted to smile playfully and joke around the question, saying that he was tired of answering this question. His co-star Afta came to his rescue and said that it was a matter between two individuals and it has nothing to do with the trailer of the film.

'Great Grand Masti' is the third instalment of the ‘Masti’ franchise. The first look and trailer of the adult comedy was released on Thursday, June 16. The film is slated to release on July 22.
